The following agreement is between "Larry Moses & Angie Moses", hereafter referred to as "SELLER" and ___________________________, and hereafter referred to as "BUYER" for the sale and purchase of one purebred American Staffordshire Terrier dog/puppy.

Full payment of the said dog/puppy is to be paid with all shipping costs in full by 7 weeks of age or the deposit is forfeited.

1. In consideration of a purchase price of $_____________, of which a deposit of  $250.00  is a non-refundable deposit, the seller transfers in fee simple all rights and responsibilities associated with the ownership of the said dog/puppy to the buyer as of _______________.  Show Quality Terms and Guarantees

The said dog/puppy, if sold to the buyer as show quality, in the sellers opinion is suitable for exhibition in the conformation ring of the AKC (American Kennel Club). The seller guarantees the said dog/puppy at time of sale does not have any disqualifying faults as per the breed standard. The said dog/puppy is by no means guaranteed to win in the conformation ring every time it is shown. The buyer is required to exhibit the said dog/puppy in the conformation ring at least twice per year.  If the buyer has interest in breeding the said dog/puppy, it must be at least twenty-four (24) months of age, and must receive a passing hip grade & normal cardiac evaluation from the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, Inc), prior to breeding. The said dog/puppy can only be bred to a AKC American Staffordshire Terrier or a AKC/UKC Dual registered American Staffordshire Terriers. The buyer should keep in mind that a female should be allowed a resting period each year from being bred. The seller strongly encourages the buyer to do as much health screening and temperament testing as possible on the said dog/puppy prior to breeding.  If the said dog/puppy is bred before cardiac testing (12months) or hip test (24months) and fails either test, there will be no replacement of the said dog/puppy. 

Pet Home Terms and Guarantees

The said dog/puppy, if sold to the buyer as Pet Quality, will have limited registration papers. NO EXCEPTIONS! The said dog/puppy must be neutered/spayed by at least one year of age and a copy of the neuter/spay certificate must be presented to the seller upon request.  Breeding of the said dog/puppy breaks this contract and all guarantees are void and will be no replacements of the said dog/puppy.

Co-Ownership of the said Dog/Puppy

The said dog/puppy, if sold to the buyer on Co-Ownership, is to be registered to the AKC (American Kennel Club) with the buyer as the owner and the seller as the Co-Owner. The buyer is completely responsible for any and all costs incurred for the care of the said dog/puppy. The seller is owed ___AKC (American Kennel Club) registered pup/puppies (first picks) from the  litter (that the seller picks) whelped by the said dog/puppy by a stud that is agreeable by both the seller and buyer. The seller will be responsible only for the shipping fee, crate and health certificate on the  pup/puppies. The seller is allowed ____ stud services to the said dog/puppy to any female that the seller presents. The seller has the right to name any pup/dog owed to him to complete the co-ownership with the sellers kennel name or any Registered name that the seller wishes. The seller will then agree to transfer complete ownership of the said dog/puppy over to the buyer after Co-Ownership agreement is met. If this agreement is not met or is unable to be met (i.e. the said dog/puppy died of unnatural causes, was lost, stolen, or unable to reproduce due to any injury or disease while in the buyers possession etc.) then the buyer owes a total of $1000.00 to the seller for the loss.

****The seller and buyer agree that the said dog/puppy is not purchased for re-sale nor will it be used or trained for activities which are illegal/inhumane or for which it is not suited for by reason of temperament or structure. Specifically, it will not be used for commercial protection nor for dog fighting or baiting purposes of any kind. ****

 Health Guarantee for the said Dog/Puppy

The seller guarantees the said dog/puppy to be in good health at time of sale. It is guaranteed for its lifetime against any congenital birth defects that would severely impair the said dog's/puppy's quality of life. If a serious congenital problem is confirmed by a veterinarian of the seller's choice (expense to be paid by the buyer), a replacement dog/puppy of like quality will be provided as soon as one is available and the said dog/puppy must be returned to the seller, and registration papers must be transferred to the seller in full. There will be no refunds of any kind. Further the seller warrants that the said dog/puppy is guaranteed to receive a passing hip grade when x-rayed at 24 months of age & normal cardiac evaluation (12months) from the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, Inc). In the event that the said dog/puppy receives a failing hip grade (only if x-rayed at 24 months of age, no exceptions) or cardiac grade the seller will take back the said dog/puppy, and all registration papers must be transferred to the seller in full. The buyer will be offered a replacement dog/puppy of like quality as soon as one is available, unless the said dog/puppy was bred before cardiac testing and hip testing. In this case there will be no replacement of the said dog/puppy. There will be no refunds of any kind.

The seller strongly encourages the buyer to have the said dog/puppy examined by a veterinarian of the seller's choice within forty eight hours of picking up the said dog/puppy. The said dog/puppy may be returned to the seller including all registration papers signed over to the seller within the seventy- two hours following purchase in the event that the said dog/puppy is found to have a one of the following: parvovirus, corona virus, canine distemper, adenovirus type 2 or Para influenza. Provided that the said dog/puppy has not been damaged in any way the buyer will be offered a replacement dog/puppy or a refund of the original purchase price if replacement is not available at that time.

Temperament Guarantee for the said Dog/Puppy

The said dog/puppy is guaranteed not to be aggressive at time of transfer to the buyer. The said dog/puppy should receive proper socialization with other humans and animals throughout its lifetime as well as consistent obedience training and gentle but firm discipline, in order to maintain a sound temperament and proper social skills. The seller is not responsible for any type of damages and/or injuries that the said dog/puppy causes.  

Registration terms for the said Dog/Puppy

Registration fee is required when ownership of the said dog/puppy is transferred. The seller will mail all registration to AKC with the buyers name and address listed as owner.  The seller gives the said dog/puppy its registered name. This registered name is to never be removed for any reason. If the said dog/puppy was sold as Pet Quality, it will only come with limited registration papers. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Ownership Responsibilities for the said Dog/Puppy

The buyer agrees to maintain the said dog/puppy in a humane environment and properly train and care for it. Specifically the said dog/puppy will be properly licensed and inoculated against rabies, canine distemper, parvovirus, corona virus, and other communicable diseases as recommended by a qualified veterinarian. The said dog/puppy will be socialized thoroughly. The buyer agrees to make themselves aware of breed specific ordinances and to never allow the said dog/puppy to set foot in any area with a breed specific ban or restriction. The seller strongly recommends permanent I.D. for the said dog/puppy by tattoo, DNA profiling or microchip. A high quality diet and fresh water must be provided for the said dog/puppy, as well as proper exercise, and plenty of attention and interaction.

Further Terms for the Said Dog/Puppy

The buyer agrees to immediately notify the seller of any change of address, phone number or e-mail address. The buyer agrees to stay in reasonable contact with the seller and to update the seller about the said dog/puppy.

Right of Recovery/Placement

In the event that the buyer is unable to keep the said dog/puppy or no longer wants the said dog/puppy, it shall be returned to the seller, and any and all registration papers on the said dog/puppy will be signed over completely to the seller. The buyer is to never sell, giveaway, trade, or abandon the said dog/puppy. The buyer is responsible for all cost of shipping of the pup/dog back to the seller including crate and health cert. In the event that the buyer breaches this contract in anyway, shape or form and legal action must be taken then the buyer will be responsible for any and all legal expenses that are incurred by the seller as well as the buyer's own. 

 Seller’s Commitment to the Buyer

The seller will be more than happy to provide guidance to the buyer for the life of the said dog/puppy. If the buyer has a question they may feel free to contact the seller during reasonable hours for assistance.
